Al Rashid Hospital is the first private psychiatric hospital in Jordan, with a capacity of 140 beds. It includes separate departments for women and men, in addition to a dedicated department for the treatment of addiction to drugs, alcohol, and sedatives.
The hospital is located in the Abu Nseir area on the northern outskirts of Amman, on an elevated site with beautiful views. The land area is 17,000 square meters, while the hospital buildings cover 9,000 square meters.
The hospital’s approach is based on providing a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment, delivered by a specialized medical team, supported by psychological therapy and social support teams, and a group of psychiatrists specialized in pharmacological treatment. The hospital provides specialized services in psychiatry and neurological psychiatric conditions, addiction treatment and rehabilitation for drugs, alcohol, and sedatives, in addition to psychotherapy, occupational therapy, psychological testing and assessment, home-based psychiatric services for evaluation, treatment and follow-up, and consultation services for other healthcare institutions.
Outpatient clinics operate throughout the week from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, except Thursday afternoon, with Friday as the weekly holiday. Addiction treatment plan for inpatient rehabilitation.
The case is received and assessed according to the substance used, degree of addiction, and psychological and medical condition. A suitable treatment plan is then defined, including accommodation and follow-up requirements.
This phase usually lasts from one to two weeks depending on the substance and severity of addiction. It focuses on safe pharmacological treatment, medical supervision, and nursing care to help clear substances from the body in a comfortable and controlled manner.
The most important part of treatment, combining medication, psychotherapy, motivation-strengthening programs, individual and group sessions, cognitive behavioral therapy, analytical therapy, and sports and recreational activities.
Rehabilitation activities include lectures, recreational sessions, outdoor gardens, sports fields, a gym, cafeteria, and an occupational therapy laboratory. These activities aim to develop positive skills and behaviors while helping the patient progress toward recovery and stability.
Daily programs start after breakfast and continue into the evening with breaks, sports and cinema activities, and psychological and behavioral therapy sessions. The rehabilitation program may extend from one to two months depending on the therapeutic team’s assessment and each patient’s individual needs.
